So today my friends, Michelle and Dank, welcomed their second daughter, Rowan Alice, into the world. She's so cute and a pretty big baby! 8lbs 11oz and 21.25" long. She makes little squeaky noises constantly.
Just wanted to announce that. Welcome to the world Rowan! Congratulations Michelle, Dank and big sister, Melora! :)

Our day out...
We have barely been home all day!! I am exhausted.
Yesterday, Nicole and I went shopping to find her an outfit for her interview on Thursday. I'm very excited for her because it's the job she's always wanted, her dream job. I am praying, hoping and wishing that she gets it. Her outfit that she picked is very nice and professional looking. I splurged and bought myself a pair of Ugg-like boots for only $20. I've been wanting a pair for a really long time though so Adam wasn't mad. An early Christmas present for myself. :)
Surprisingly, the Hallmark store had a Santa already so Miranda was able to see him, have her picture taken and tell him how badly she is wanting a Fancy Nancy doll for Christmas. It was very cute. Nicole found a rocking chair at Once Upon a Child for only $5 so she snatched that up for Miranda's room. It's very cute.
Today we had plans to meet up with an online friend of mine, but unfortunately, her and her daughter are sick with the swine flu and couldn't make it. Rather than cancel our plans entirely and break Miranda's heart, we went anyway. We drove up to South Deerfield, Mass. to visit Magic Wings. It's a butterfly conservatory and garden. There were so many butterflies there. Miranda wasn't scared but she definitely did not like it when they flew near her. They're much prettier from afar in her opinion. They were having a big birthday celebration too since it was the 9 year birthday of the garden. Miranda was able to get her face painted and free popcorn. I was amazed at how still she sat for the lady.
After the garden and lunch, we went to a HUGE Yankee Candle shop where we bought a family ornament for this year and we dipped some candles for $1. It was fun but the place was HUGE and crowded. We got lost several times. Miranda loved everything there was to see though. They even have a room where it 'snows' every 4 minutes. Outside they had horse drawn hayrides for a dollar so we did that as well. Miranda loved the horses, whose names were Randy and Rose. lol
We were complimented so many times on how well Miranda behaved today. Everyone is shocked when I tell them she's only 2.5. A lady at the restaurant was extremely impressed by her manners. It makes me feel really good when strangers tell me that I'm doing a good job. :)
Then we went to the father-in-laws for our usual Sunday dinner. I'm exhausted and very much ready for bed.

Getting ready for...
So, I've bought Miranda a bunch of little things that I'm stowing away for Christmas. I know she's going to love them all. I'm really excited. I think this is going to be the best Christmas yet since there is no money for gifts. I don't want Christmas to be just about the presents. I want Miranda to grow up realizing it is a time for family and friends.
Also, I handed in all my applications. Fingers crossed!!

All good news today!
Finally a day where I only have good news to give you. What a rare, happy occasion this is.
First off, I want to congratulate the New York Yankees for winning their 27th World Championship! I stayed up to watch the game last night and was extremely happy to see them win. :)
Second, I have my Jeep back! I had a rental for a week and half because the Jeep was in the shop getting fixed up after a client backed into it. But it's back and beautiful.
Third, Adam seems to FINALLY be moving towards being hired with the Army Corps of Engineers. Yesterday and today he had to go out to a doctor's office to get a complete physical done. Everything from the normal blood work and temperature to a chest x-ray. The doctors said he was in perfect health and all that's left is for Adam to go into the Corps' office and for them to give the details. Hurray!!!!!! It will be very nice to have him working again.
Tomorrow morning I have an appointment to clean a house in the morning and then I'm heading out to the mall with Nicole to return all the applications that I filled out. Keep your fingers crossed that I find a job soon as well.
